Cupcakes, cake pops, and now macaroons are the new sweet craze. Never really got into dessert hype but I definitely wanted to try this out.
Being too lazy to go out and buy these bad boys a deputy from work was nice enough to drop some off into the children's chambers. The bright yellow nearly blinded me but it looked so cute and fluffy I was craving it! I heard so many good things about macaroons, light airy jelly color flavors!
But this macaroon in particular stank!!!! Turns out it was durian. Never had durian fruit but I'm guessing it stanks but tastes really good! And that's exactly what this yellow macaroon was Stinky and delicious

Tony's Pizza
Israel, Phil and I went to Tony's pizza for dinner last night. The little pizzeria definitely fills everyone's big craving with their hearty deep dish pizzas! I would have to say that it's one of Fullerton's better pizza joints I have visited because the portions are huge, delicious, and the ingredients are fresh!
You can create any pizza to your liking; they got all kinds of ingredients. . not only do they serve pizza, they serve salads, pasta, sandwiches, beer! What kind of pizza joint would you be if you didnt have beer....and sports center playing on all the televisions?
It takes about 40 minutes to cook. A pretty solid amount of time for deep dish pizza, but that's why you eat salad and beer while you're waiting!
Here we ordered a plate of antipasto salad: lettuce, salami, olives, tomatoes bathed in a vinaigrette dressing, bud lite for the boys, and the pizza: pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. Sooollliiiiiidddddddd
What do you like on your pizza?? Any other places I should try?? Leave a comment :) til next time Bon apetit!

Bruxie
Bruxie Gourmet Waffle Sandwiches has made its way to Brea! The waffle house first started in Old town Orange, and I'm guessing because of its popularity, they were able to open one up in Brea downtown. Genius! Perfect location! It has captured a lot of attention. Before the 2nd location, I have heard of many people coming from far cities to go all the way to orange just to try this sandwich. Who would've thought a waffle would make a good bun for a sandwich? Hm I am sure that many of you have done that when you were a little kid, but were not smart enough to make it into a franchise!! ahah Well at least that's what I thought. A waffle! Such a simple thing made into a successful idea.
After trying it for the first time, I didn't really think it deserved its hype. It's nothing special; it's just a waffle. But after going there a few times, I realized that this waffle idea was unique! The waffle is light and has the right crunch. Definitely adds sweetness but not enough to overpower the sandwich's flavor. What I love about Bruxie is there variety. I like the combination of ingredients they have put together. They have Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle, Bruxie Burger, Bacon, Egg & Cheddar, Prosciutto & Gruyere, Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese, Roasted Mushroom & Goat Cheese, Cheesy Bruxie. That's just the savory list! Of course they have a sweet waffles too!! OH! and they have milkshakes! My favorite would have to be the dulce de leche. If you like caramel, I think you'd be craving for this one all the time.
Bruxie reminds me of crepe restaurants. I kind of feel bad for the crepe place just a few doors down. It's kind of the same idea just in different form. But that's what makes it so popular! I think picking up your food is more attractive? and it's definitely easier than having to have to cut and slice your crepe. But to each their own! I still love crepes and I hope Crepe de France doesn't close down. So here's my review. I haven't written in such a long time. But I can promise you I have eaten many wonderful things this past 2 seasons. Let me know what you think of Bruxie!
