good ol' mac and cheese

I love mac and cheese!! It's a perfect example of comfort food. It's a simple dish that can be served as an appetizer or as a main dish. It's so versatile you can jazz it up in every way possible.

Israel and I went to the market and bought all our ingredients.

Instead of macaroni, we bought mini shell pasta. You're also going to need heavy cream, milk, cheese, cheese, and cheese. For our dish, we bought sharp cheddar and pepper jack. We included smoked ham to add more flavor and texture to the dish. After mixing everything we put it in a baking dish and sprinkled it with parmesan cheese and put it in the oven for a few minutes. OH MYYYY GOODNESS WAS IT GOOD.

We pretty much eyeballed it. We followed a recipe online just to see how much of each ingredient we should put, but it's honestly up to you. You can make it as creamy as you want, add other ingredients, ANYTHING! I don't think you can go wrong with making this dish. I highly recommend making mac and cheese from scratch rather than from the box.

Tranquil Tea Lounge

My girlfriends and I had lunch at Tranquil Tea Lounge in Downtown Fullerton today. They have a wide selection of teas and a nice selection of food on their menu.





They have lunch specials, too! For $8, one can get their choice of any $4 tea, half sandwich, partnered with soup or salad. The other special is the exact same combination with dessert for $10.





Personal Favorite: Geisha Kiss tea. If you like something sweet, try this one.



It's a really nice place. Definitely come here if want a light lunch. They have a great seating area in the main room and the back room. If you have to wait to be seated, they have a lounge area that has couches and menus to look through. The cafe is filled with artwork from local artists, and changes around every month.


REMINDER! Downtown Fullerton has an Art walk every first Friday of the month. If you have time this weekend, you should definitely go and check it out.
