Layer Cake

It's been way too long since my last post,  but don't you worry, my dear readers, I have been eating well!!!

I have yet another post about a place in downtown Fullerton.  The city has been adding new restaurants and cafés all of which are everyone friendly.

Today's post is on a new bakery in town called Layer Cake.  It's ordinal location is is in Irvine and they recently just put up the location in Fullerton just this past summer.

Not only are they a bakery but they also serve food. I have yet to try out their savory menu.

Layer Cake is best known for their Mille Crepe Cake.   It's consisted of 20 layers of crepe and in between each one is creme filling. To top it off they caramelize the cake.

Burnie and I could not eat it right away because we were so distracted by its beauty.

But eventually we had to demolish it, and demolished it was.

One big slice of Mille crepe cake is $6.50

Green Bliss Cafe

Took quite a few visits to Green Bliss Cafe in DTF. I've been obsessed with their food! I enjoy that you can really get a lot off great flavors out of vegan food.

This time I tried out the Curry Chickpea Panini. SO DARN GOOD AND FILLING

Burger Parlor

What's up y'all. I know it's been a while since I last posted, but no worries I've been eating a bunch a delicious food all this time!

I know there's a lot of hype about Umami Burger. Although really good, the price is not so tasty! Haha. I would definitely not go to Umami Burger on a regular, mostly because I'm not rich enough to afford that all the time but there is a sweet spot in Downtown Fullerton... I know I'm obsessed with this place but that's where I'm from!... This place called Burger Parlor that's really good for people who like the quality of umami but want to pay less !!! It's still a bit pricey but you're paying for the 100% handcrafted burger that is made with really good meat, solid and fresh ingredients and flavors. The quality of the burger is worth paying for.

If you're looking to order a burger and fries, you'll be spending around $10-$11. It's smart to share fries if you're eating with a friend. Those puppies are huge. Oh! And their house ketchup has a special kick to it! I'm gonna guess they put a little bit of wasabi to give it spice.

In this picture, you have the Danish Bleu. A nicely medium cooked patty (so it definitely has the juices), topped with Bleu cheese, arugula, caramelized onions as mushrooms.

They have this sweet combo deal, if you just text 90210 and type "burger parlor", you get a combo discount. The total of this bad boy was $10.50. Not bad! NOT BAD AT ALL. It doesn't look there is enough fries but trust me, it's enough. The flavors of the burger make you super full. Haha

OKAY, and I know arugula sounds odd to put in a burger cuz we're so used to seeing in in salads but trust me, it's the perfect partner for a burger.

I hope you guys try this out!!!!

Cucina

A sweet restaurant Tricia and I stumbled upon while we were walking around irvine spectrum. We were struggling with deciding where to eat. Cucina looked like it was popular, we checked inside and we were taken away! All I can say is that I will for sure come back here in the near future.

Known for three things: the beautiful decoration, wine, and their menu.

OC Poultry and Rotisserie Market

Went to Laguna Beach a few weekends ago. The hot, blazing sun got us sooo hungry, so Joe took us to this sweet hole in the wall viet place in Anaheim. I love how we can find delicious, random restaurants through yelp. Yeup, Joe found a gold mine through yelp. Probably one of the best viet sandwich places I've been (although I haven't been to many haha) but it sure does beat The famous Lee's Sandwiches in quality and in price!

The most interesting thing about this place is that they're famous for putting scrambled eggs. Omg

Mushroom Sandwich

If you know me, you know my obsession with portobello sandwiches. It's practically all I eat If it's on the menu. Instead of paying a ridiculous amount of money to eat this sandwich I bought the ingredients from my Fav, trader joes and have been making my all time favorite this past week.

You can use any mushroom, just sauté them with onions in soy sauce. After, add the Sundried tomatoes. I mixed the Arugula in balsamic vinegar and topped it with feta cheese. Eat it with bread of your choice

Yes these are 3 different times I've eaten this sandwich. That's already 30 dollars if i ordered at a restaurant!!
